Long Road Home Rescue completely functions on foster homes. Foster parents are the lifeline that we need to continue to save these beautiful dogs.
What we look for in a foster family is someone who can open their hearts and their homes to a dog in need and love it like your own until we can find a forever family for them to love.
While fostering, Long Road Home Rescue supplies all the necessities including food, toys, crate and all vet costs.
Remember everything you buy for the pup is tax deductible!
Types of Foster Parents
Two Week Foster:
Our pups need a home-- any good home. We understand that not everyone can make a commitment to foster until a dog finds its forever home. Three week fosters give our pups the opportunity to be saved while looking to be adopted or fostered.
Don't worry we would never put a pup back into the shelter but we also do not want to pay for boarding expenses. Temporary foster homes help so many lives!
Permanent Foster:
Join our foster family team! We need people who can commit to saving a dog until they find their forever home. We will provide you with the basic needs you will need for care.
Foster families who commit to being part of our family are encouraged to do events. We ask that you provide us with lots of updates and photos to get the pup into their forever home.
